crush us all

for some reason i've only started properly listening to this band in the last couple of days. frankly, i am an idiot for not doing so sooner as they are amazing. their record 'spanaway' is essentially flawless and i strongly advise anyone who has never checked them out to do so immediately. they remind me a lot of jawbreaker and quicksand and to a lesser extent the murder city devils in parts. they were on sub-pop too, it just gets better.

also, i know i had a little rant about this in the lonewolves article featured in jack's zine (www.myspace.com/wwhrdzine) but...prescetarianism really annoys me. cool, you don't eat mammals or birds, but it doesn't need a label does it? and surely if it does, then 'shit vegetarian' is better? i can't see the logical reasoning behind saying you "love animals" but then eating fish/other seafood?? someone enlighten me though if you disagree...
