man the climate of this country is bizarre. just over a month ago we had the worst snow for nearly 20 years. this very same month, i have walked into town/waiting for the bus/generally been out and been freezing and windswept from the ridiculous gales. even last week it rained for an entire day. but thankfully today has resembled a day from the height of summer. long may it last.
wednesday's are good days. it's the first day of the week that i get to lie in as i don't have college and when you wake up see a clear blue sky with the sun shining brightly you pretty much know the day is going to be good. the fact i lay in bed for a while listening to saves the day and reading the paper only cemented this feeling.
anyway, my morning was amazingly productive. i had a list of things i needed/wanted to get done in town so i headed in, kanye on the ipod, and managed to get the vast majority of the list completed. nothing interesting if you're wondering, just stuff like buying a new diary, getting the lenses on my glasses tightened. you know, boring yet practical things.
this afternoon i headed over to hope and glory in swaffham with jack and james who were both getting tattooed by olly. jack added to his '80s hardcore montage sleeve' by getting the bad brains lighting bolt, while james got a no doubt themed tattoo. both turned out really nice. it was good to hang out at the shop and chat to olly and dan the piercer. there's always a relaxed atmospere in h&g that many other tattoo shops seem to lack and when the sun is streaming through the massive window at the front of the shop and you're listening to some random jazz cd while reading russin prison tattoos volume 3, things can't get much more laid back.
this evening i have been updating the aforementioned diary and watching some more of the coast dvd that i bought a couple of weeks back. coast is pretty much my favourite thing on television after peepshow and csi: ny in case you didn't know. yes, that probably makes me sad. no, i don't care.
