here are five of the studio reports from the recording of dev/lightspeed champion's new record. his last opus, 'galaxy of the lost' was one of my records of the year in 2007 (was it really two years ago?!) and i'm genuinely excited to see what he comes up with on this album. he's had some well documented voice troubles over the past few months, but i'm really pleased that he's back in the studio recording and making music as the guy is incredibly talented and seems like a really good dude from what i've seen/read in his blog. this record is certainly one of my most anticipated on 2009...
also, i realised tonight that the english domestic cricket season begins in less than a month. i definitely want to try and make it along to some more surrey matches this season. last year was a bad one for SCCC, what with relegation to division two of the county championship, but fingers crossed we can bounce straight back and also maybe have a good run in the friends provident trophy and the twenty20 cup. tickets for championship games are only £12 on the gate which is a bargain reall considering play lasts from 11am until around 5pm. check www.surreycricket.com if you are in any way interested in any of the last paragraph.
